Board Certification:
Dr. Kingsley is doubly Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. He became Board Certified in general surgery soon after his training by completion of written and oral examinations. He later became Board Certified in vascular surgery when this was designated a separate specialty. This too required written and oral examinations. Re-certifications are recommended every 10 years in the U.S. Dr. Kingsley has successfully been recertified at each recommended interval for both general surgery and vascular surgery.
Board Certification in vascular surgery in the U.S. is considered a special credential, for only about 3000 surgeons have qualified and successfully completed the requirements and the examinations. Only about 1000 vascular surgeons have been re-certified, a sincere commitment to remain current in the specialty. Dr. Kingsley is also a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), having successfully completed the examinations after many years of experience with vascular ultrasonography.
Medical License
Dr. Kingsley is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Alabama and Georgia, and holds an inactive license for the state of Oregon.
